International Sales Update: New US Tariff Rules
Impact on all website sales, BUT original artwork purchases can still be arranged, please get in touch!
The US has confirmed that the De Minimis exemption for imports will end on August 29, 2025.

These new US tariff rules will affect all countries, including the UK, and will require UK retailers sending packages to the US to pay tariffs and customs clearance costs. The new regime will apply to goods valued at less than $800, and there will be a six-month transition period with simplified fees before full duties take effect. These simplified fees are expected to be between $80 and $200 depending on the country of origin, thereafter the tariff will be 10% plus custom clearance fees, however it is not clear how much the latter will cost.
As a result of this uncertainty, I will not be able to routinely sell or ship to the USA.
Should you wish to purchase an original artwork, however, I will be able to work with a specialist shipping company to accommodate these changes on a case by case basis, so please get in touch!
GSPR Legislation Still Impacting EU Sales
This is an additional blow following on from the GSPR legislation in December 2024 which made it impossible for my small business to sell to the European Union (including Northern Ireland). Shipping for these regions is disabled on my website.
Again, should you wish to purchase an original artwork then I will be able to work with specialist art shipping companies to accommodate the GPSR legislation on a case by case basis, so please get in touch directly.
Impact on UK Small Businesses
The changes to the US tariffs and in particular the de minimis exemption is a real blow for small UK businesses. Many the creative small busineses I know and support in the UK are going to be heavily impacted by this, and I fear a wave of closures.
I hope that this a temporary situation and that the UK government will work towards a solution that allows small creative businesses to thrive Internationally. I will keep you posted of any developments as I become aware of them.
