Midsummer Melody by Louise Brook (2026) comprises a trio of mixed media mini collage abstracts. The works were inspired by the hot summer of 2026 combined with the musical accompaniment which always forms an integral part of Louise's studio practice.

The heat is captured in the vibrant, warm colour palette of the handmade collage papers and vintage sheet music features within the designs.

Collage papers were created by hand using a limited palette; various mixed media techniques, acrylics, stencils and mark making were used in the creative process. The papers were then thoughtfully combined to creating strong, striking miniature compositions.
