Contours of Blue by Louise Brook (2026) comprises a trio of mixed media mini collage abstracts. The works were inspired by the ocean and memories of Mediterranean summer holidays - during a long, wet and cold winter these minis were created to conjure up sunnier times, past and future.
 
Collage papers were created by hand using a limited palette; various mixed media techniques, acrylics, stencils and mark making were used in the creative process. The papers were then thoughtfully combined to creating strong, striking miniature compositions, before being finished with expressive gold detailing to add a touch of the Mediterranean sunshine to each piece.
